DOMUS AUSTRALIA CHAPEL
Eucharistic. Marian. Beauty.
Your spiritual home in Rome.
EUCHARISTIC
Every evening at 6pm, the Eucharist is celebrated with reverence and beauty in English. Each day begins with prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, with incense, chant, and Benediction. The Eucharist is the heart of this house, and the source of its renewal.
MARIAN
Our chapel is home to the miraculous image of Our Lady of Pompeii, Queen of the Holy Rosary. Twice a year the great Supplica prayer rises from this sanctuary, uniting us with the devotion of millions across the world. Mary welcomes all who come here, and leads them to her Son.
BEAUTY
From sacred art and rich music to the solemn rhythm of incense and chant, beauty fills this sanctuary. Every detail of the liturgy and every element of the chapel is meant to lift hearts to God and draw souls closer to His presence.
A Roman Sanctuary for English-Speaking Pilgrims
Domus Australia Chapel exists to lead people to Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, through Mary. Opened by Pope Benedict XVI in 2011, the chapel was entrusted to the Australian Church as a home in Rome. Today, it stands as a sanctuary of daily prayer, Adoration, and sacred music — welcoming pilgrims, students, and residents alike. Anchored in Eucharistic worship and Marian devotion, we invite you to encounter the Lord here and return home renewed.
Preserve Beauty. Protect the Sanctuary.
Our mission depends on the generosity of those who believe in the power of beauty and prayer. Your gift helps us sustain daily liturgy, restore the organ, and safeguard sacred art, including the miraculous image of Our Lady of Pompeii. Together, we can ensure this sanctuary remains a place of encounter for generations to come.
Stay With Us
The Domus Australia Pilgrim House offers comfortable accommodation just steps from the chapel. Staying with us means being part of the daily rhythm of prayer and liturgy, while enjoying a restful base from which to discover Rome.
